Applied Toxicology Research

Exponent welcomes the opportunity to design studies to answer targeted research questions. We are uniquely qualified to address multi-dimensional questions that require collaboration of a diverse set of backgrounds, as well as to design studies to derive specific data. The Toxicology/Mechanistic Biology team within the Health Sciences practice has expertise in designing studies to meet U.S. and international regulatory guidelines, managing studies using either human or animal subjects, and presenting the study rationale and data to regulatory agencies (EPA, FDA, EU - including REACH).

Basic Research – Exponent scientists have basic and applied research backgrounds and can design and manage studies to determine the effects of specific compounds.
Strategic Design of Regulatory Studies – We use OECD, EPA, or European Annex V testing guidelines to design and monitor studies, with additional components to address specific concerns about mode of action.
